Chains on One Needle
1). The «String» of the Beads is called a row of beads , which are threaded on the thread.

2).Chain «Snake»

When weaving such a chain the base thread bends the same way as the real alive snake does.
Pic. 2-3. This is how a real snake bends.
Such chain is weaved the following way. Set a string of 7 beads :
Pic. 2-4. The 1 st step of making the bead chain “Snake”.
Join a string into the ring by the “drop” method. Then set a string of 4 more beads and join them with the bead ¹ 6 by the “drop” method.
Pic. 2-5. The 2 nd step of making the bead chain “Snake”.
Set a string of 4 beads one more time.

Now make a joint with the bead ¹ 10 the same way.
Pic. 2-7. The 4 th step of making the bead chain “Snake”.
Set a string of 4 beads one more time.

Pic. 2-8. The 5 th step of making the bead chain “Snake”.
Join them with the bead ¹ 10 the same way.

Then continue setting the beads the same way. The snake bends till the chain reaches the necessary length. After joining the ends of the chain you will get a ring, a bracelet or a chain for the neck. Changing the color and the ornament of the snake you will get a new make, which won't look nothing like the one we have just made.

If you wish to experiment - change one or several beads on the pattern by large beads , bugle beads or cut beads .

Pic. 2-11. The variety of the bead chains “Snake”. Try to improvise yourself. Success? Do you like it? And now let's complicate the task by changing the trajectory, on which our bead snake will fray. For example, like this:

Let's set the beads on the imaginary snake. Look what a miracle we have made! How absolutely different are the chains!

On this chain 2 joining beads have already appeared instead of one.

The snake is just one, but the chains are so different! Create 10 variants of another snake – chains on your own.
